THE MARMORE WATERFALLS 

Artificial work carried out by Roman Consul Curio Dentato ib 271 BC to reclaim on over hanging plain where the River Velino made a large unhealthy marsh.

Its waters have been used for about fifty years as energy for the hydroelectric power plant.

Its beauty was sung, amongst other by Virgilio, Cicerone and G. Byron.

It is along the Valnerina main road seven kilometres from Terni.
